I'm so appreciative of my upbringing and just wanted to take a little moment to thank my parents.  I haven't figured out whether my ability to enjoy the simpe things about life and creativity is hereditary or learned, but I credit it to my parents either way, and I hope my children catch it, too.

A post on Lil Blue Boo, a blog I'm really enjoying lately, just had a post in which the author explains her family background and how a passion for creativity has remained strong through several generations.

Since the post started with vintage Barbie accesories, I'd like to add that my mom made me a Barbie doll house from cardboard when I was little, and it included furnishings - it was amazing.

"Truffle" Handspun Yarn

"Truffle" Handspun Icelandic Wool Yarn
Erica Knudson
My Man purchased a lot of Icelandic wool from an organic farm and suprised me with it for my birthday. The brown and white colors are the natural colors of this bulky handspun yarn, made by me (and I'm really proud of it).
